login-timeout NcFTPd general.cf file configuration
Don't forget to restart NcFTPd after modifying the general.cf file.

This timer lets you kick users who do not log in successfully within a specified time period.  The default value is quite low, 15 seconds.  This is because most users use automated FTP clients, and those that do not should be able to quickly login in that time period.  15 seconds may seem low, but sometimes people purposely try to tie up the FTP server by connecting and then doing nothing.  Note that this timeout is related to the the control connection idle timeout (idle-timeout), but the idle-timeout takes effect after the login is successful.

Other timeout values you can configure are the data transfer block timeout (xfer-timeout), the control connection idle timeout (idle-timeout), and the connection establishment timeout (conn-timeout).
